Visiting for the First Time?

This is the story of two young women trying to make sense of what's going on around them. Please see the cast list for descriptions of the characters.

Each storyline is rooted in actual news events that correspond to each day in 1968. When characters discuss articles in the newspaper,  source notes will be included.

Out of print books are discussed in the "Books on the '60s", located in the sidebar. The "Notes" section contains information pertinent to researchers and other interested parties. "In the News" tracks news events that are important to the characters.

If you would like to read the blog from the very beginning, just scroll down to the bottom of the page, read each entry and scroll up. If you would like to read all the entries of a character's story, click on the character's name in the "Category Section."

Comments are welcome on the back pages. You may also email me at magentagreen2000(at)yahoo(dot)com.

This blog is updated at least once daily, often twice. As well, the sidebar sections will expand as the year progresses. Be sure to check back as Janine and Amy share their experiences of 1968.
